Holiday Wreaths Forever Stamps 2019
Product details
Part of what makes the holiday season so enjoyable is the beauty and nostalgia of the many different decorations. There is garland, twinkling lights, jolly snowmen, Christmas trees, and, of course, wreaths.

Wreaths have always been popular holiday decorations. They come in many shapes, sizes, and colors, and are displayed in homes and businesses around the world. You can find wreaths for sale in shops just about anywhere, but some of the best are those you make yourself.

Crafting your own holiday wreath can seem intimidating, but it’s easier than you may think. All you need is a wire wreath frame (available at most craft stores), about 25 evergreen branches (two feet long), garden shears, florist’s wire, and wire cutters. First, remove the smaller arms from each evergreen branch. These will be the pieces that make up the wreath. To attach them to the wreath frame, make bunches of three or four branches and wind the florist’s wire around the cut ends, securing them to the frame. Add more bunches in the same way, slightly overlapping each other until the wreath is complete.

When it’s time to decorate your wreath, you can add any ribbons, pine cones, and ornaments you like. There is nothing better than a beautiful hadmade wreath hanging on your front door for the holidays.

Made in the USA.

![]() | The U.S. Postal Service continues its tradition of celebrating the U.S. flag with this new stamp in booklets of 20, and coils of 100and 10,000.
Reminiscent of the 50 flags encircling the Washington Monument, these three U.S. flags are shown as if on poles arranged in acircular formation. The flags, shown from a low-angle perspective, billowing in the wind, evoke a sense of reverence and honor.

As a two-ounce stamp, SunflowerBouquet can accommodate the weight of heavy invitations forbirthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and other celebrations;oversized greeting cards; and mailings such as small gifts thatrequire extra postage.
The stamp art is a still life image of several orange-and-yellow sunflowers intermingled with irises, dahlias, echinacea(coneflowers), and other small red, purple, white, and pink flowers against a white background. To create this image, thephotographer backlit the arrangement of flowers on a light box and made eight photographic exposures, resulting in a luminous, transparent look.

| The Sharks Forever stamps featuring five species that inhabit American waters — the mako, thresher, great white, hammerhead and whale sharks. Please share the news on social media using the hashtag #SharksStamps.
Possibly no other creatures are as mythologized — or as misunderstood — as sharks. Blockbuster thrillers and sensationalized media have fueled the belief that sharks are monsters: unthinking, bloodthirsty, vengeful and primitive. While they are ancient creatures, having emerged long before the first dinosaurs, after 400 million years the 500 or so known shark species have adapted to their ecological role.

![]() ![]() | The fondest holiday memories often include the scent of warm ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and molasses used in gingerbread drifting throughout the house. With a little imagination and a lot of patience, gingerbread can be converted into a whimsical house decorated with stiff royal icing and sparkling candies.
Building gingerbread houses today can be as simple as buying kits or as complex as constructing small buildings from scratch, giving people of all skill levels the chance to create joyous holiday memories.
Baker Teresa Layman created the gingerbread houses specifically for these stamps. Sally Andersen-Bruce photographed them and art director Derry Noyes designed the stamps.

![]() | Among the stamps of the new zodiac series launched in 2020, the Year of the Ox stamp is the second. The first set of Zodiac stamps was issued between 1992 and 2005, and the second set between 2008 and 2019.
The mask design on the stamp incorporates symbolic elements. Some of these patterns are made in the style of Asian textiles. Purple flowers represent the arrival of spring. In Chinese culture, the Lunar New Year also marks the arrival of spring. The star in the center of the bull's head represents the celestial phenomena of the Chinese zodiac.
Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp with original artwork by Camille Chew. Sold in blocks of 20, the Forever stamp will always be worth the current 1-ounce price of first-class mail.
The Year of the Ox begins on February 12, 2021 and ends on January 31, 2022. People born in the same year are believed to have the same personality traits and other attributes as the zodiac they belong to. For example, the belief holds that the Ox and people born in the year of the Ox are honest, hardworking and very dependable.
There are many traditions in welcoming a new year that brings good luck and prosperity. In communities across the U.S., people shop for holiday food and other supplies, hang decorations and ceremoniously clean their homes to usher in a new year.
